Three face drug, mortgage-fraud charges

Two work force and a adult female are facing federal complaints of merchandising cocaine, cleft and
marijuana and using the return to perpetrate mortgage fraud.

Shawn E. Pass, 32, of Galena, and Seth Thomas A. Mundell, 29, of Columbus, human face the most serious
charges in a 17-count bill of indictment the United States Attorney's Office announced today.

Also charged is Joy J. Freeman, 31, of Jerry Lee Lewis Center. Freeman was arrested yesterday and released
on her ain recognizance. Base On Balls and Mundell surrendered this morning.

The bill of indictment states the three conspired beginning in 1998 to sell illegal drugs from places in
Columbus and Jerry Lee Lewis Center. Freeman and Pass also are charged with laundering drug-money return by
using them for mortgage payments and by lying on mortgage loan applications.

The complaints are punishable by five to 40 old age in prison.

The three were arrested through the concerted attempts of the U.S. attorney; the Internal Revenue
Service, the Buckeye State Agency of Criminal Designation and Investigation; the High Intensity Drug
Trafficking Area Undertaking Military Unit and the John Hope Franklin and Delaware county sheriffs' offices.
